BRITTANY WATKINS
Owner/Head Trainer
Brittany’s sincere love of horses guides everything she does. From her roots in eventing to jumper training in Southern CA under Mark Watring, a gold medalist in the Pan American Games and a participant in the Olympics. In addition, she spent time in Portugal as a working student and rider for Rodrigo Matos, a Principle Rider with the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art.
Those that know her respect Britt’s uncanny eye for the well being of horses and realize that the horse alway comes first.
The BWE training program specializes in tailoring the individual needs of horses and riders to meet one’s goals, whether you are a beginner or advanced competitor.
BWE's vision is to provide a safe, fun and competitive atmosphere where riders can grow, develop, and gain confidence through their accomplishments.
Brittany and her clients compete on the hunter/jumper circuit with great success. She excels in the development of young horses and succeeds in achieving good outcomes with her disiplined training program and her positive outlook. “I like to keep a horse soft by going forward and riding with patience”.
She is a gifted instructor and enjoys much fulfillment from teaching juniors and amateurs at home and away at horse shows.

JILL THORNTON
Veterinarian
Jill is with Sonoma Marin Veterinary Service in Petaluma, CA She provides veterinary care and health managements services to keep our equine partners heathy and happy.
RODNEY DECK
Farrier
Rodney, a third generation shoer provides all of our horses and ponies with regular hoof care and shoeing. In addition, Rodney's Father Rodney Sr. also assists with shoeing.
At BW Equestrian we employ experienced and skilled professionals and grooms. All our grooms have had years of experience in the show world and work with the trainers and carefully selected vets and farriers to ensure that each horse is receiving the care it needs in order to keep them feeling well and performing at their best.
